I'm tempted to make the same move myself, as a long time iPhone 3G user… But funnily enough, as a Canadian mobile phone user my problem is his first reason for switching: choice. Canada is WOEFULLY lacking in Android handset options… I'm a Rogers subscriber, and right now the only Android phone even REMOTELY worth considering is the Xperia X10, which doesn't really compete with the iPhone 4 (or Droid X, or Evo 4G or name your high end Smartphone). I'm still a year out from the end of my contract with them though (due to Rogers requiring *3* year contracts when buying a subsidized smartphone), and my 3G is on its last legs, so switching carriers (and taking a $240 hit) isn't really something I'm willing to do lightly. But even on the other carriers, we are still VERY low in selection.
