No question about it: This is a drawing of Apple’s second-generation “desk lamp” iMac. Yet it’s lurking in a patent filed two months before that iMac was released, with a title that suggests it’s for a monitor, not a computer. One wonders whether Apple was intentionally cryptic, in hopes that nobody would figure out this was a personal computer.
