    That was a letdown…

  2. @BillP Says:

That's nice but for most Beatle fans we already have anything recorded by the fab four.

Beatles on iTunes? Big whoop! But it makes sense if you think about it: an over hyped announcement for an overrated band must be the very definition of "match made in heaven".

I will never forget this day, in which millions were fooled by the most overhyped announcement ever.

But the music SOUNDS BETTER when it’s downloaded through iTunes. *snicker*

Big freakin’ whoop. I’ve had the Beatles on CD since forever, I recently sprung for the remastered box set (great sound, terrible packaging), and I can convert (and have) them to high-quality MP3 any time I wish. I don’t need the triple-dip, thank you.

Besides, aren’t iTunes and the iPod geared more towards the younger crowd, who couldn’t care less that that “lame old creaky music” is now available to them? They aren’t going to bother getting anything that isn’t rap, hip-hop, or Lady Gaga.

Five years ago, this would’ve been news. Today, it’s “ho-hum,” years late and several dollars short. Move along, nothing to see here.

Never got the whole iTunes mania. At 1st they locked you into DRM crap AND had a limited catalog, now it's years too late. Too many other sources that aren't a pain.
