Runner Up for Game of the Year: Gears of War 2

In a way, this blockbuster sequel was exactly what we expected. But when you’re looking to grab a controller and enjoy some white-knuckle entertainment, it’s exactly what you want. As we said in our review, Gears 2 throws in enough surprises along the way to prevent getting stale, and the online multiplayer is worth getting addicted to and playing until 5 in the morning.
