Twelve Bizarro Googles

Happy 10th, Google! Here are a dozen truly weird offshoots you've inspired.

Accentuate the Positive, Eliminate the Negative
Do you feel lucky, punk? Do, you? If so, just click the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button at Good Feelings?, which doesn’t even have a keyword field. You’ll get results about lotteries. If, on the other hand, you feel pessimistic, click the unique and useful “I’m Not Feeling Lucky” button. Presto–results about life insurance.

Kling On, King Off
Unlike most of the Bizarro Googles here, this one comes from Google itself. With its support for dozens of languages, the world’s biggest search engine is truly international. Actually, make that intergalactic–you can get the homepage in Klingon, which is mighty handy if you happen to be a Klingon. The Borg, however, are more partial to Ask.com, I’m told.

Your Own Private Google
The Google search results are terrific; the Google logo’s colors are iconic. And Googlogo lets you borrow both of ’em and build your own little pseudo-Google with any name you choose. Playing with it is good time-wastin’ fun, since you can create pages like this and this.

Love it! Instead of “Your Own Private Google” (Googlogo) I use a site called http://www.PimpMySearch.com whuch does the same thing without ads. Also under “Don’t Just Search, Hunt!” There is no link to the site.
