ZDNet’s Ed Bott does a good job of explaining why Macs are definitely not impervious to hackers and might be on the verge of losing their status as the Major Computing Platform That Doesn’t Require You to Worry Much About Security.
The article is good, but as John Gruber points out on Daring Fireball, we have been hearing this same noise about malware coming for nearly a decade. Mac's are not impervious, but these articles feel like someone checking off the yearly to-do list.
Ed Bott is a total Microsoft evangelist and not very kind towards Apple, so I always take these FUD articles with a grain of salt. Total link bait.
Don't panic yet. A cost effective attack vector hasn't yet been worked out. The ones used for PCs aren't effective enough due the 10:1 PC to Mac ratio. (difficult to spread from like to like).
