MocoNews’s Tom Krazit says that recent developments at Acer and Google indicate that netbooks are down and out.
Not true. The secret may be to go to 2 gigs of DRAM. My new Asus EeePC 10" netbook with Atom 450, Win7 Professional, is a very fast usable machine.
I did have an ACER 150-1635, Atom N270 1 gig of DRAM. That was a very early netbook and it was not usable. Maybe adding DRAM would have helped that machine. That machine is no longer in my possession.
