Steve Isbell, president of 360 Virtual Ventures, tends to the Virtusphere, a 360-degree hamster ball for virtual reality gaming. Once inside, you explore a 3D world using a pair of video goggles. Movement wasn’t as fluid as I’d hoped — to move the sphere, you need to get some momentum going, which is scary when you can’t see your own feet — but Isbell said he can do full sprints inside. You can find Virtuspheres at Excaliber and Circus Circus Adventuredome in Las Vegas, where $10 gets you 3.5 minutes of playing time.
