Atari 2600 Patent

Filed August 19th, 1977

Atari’s 2600 wasn’t the first gaming console, but it was the first wildly popular one. And you could make a case that it remains the single most important one of all time. Tragically, this drawing doesn’t show the fake wood-grain paneling that gave the 2600 its incomparably 1970s-ish character.
